About Effie
Effie is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music where she earned her Master’s degree in Music Composition with a concentration in Music-in-Education. Classically trained as a pianist and a composer with over 20 years of musical experience, she has been teaching piano and music theory to both children and adults at all levels for over 6 years. She frequently collaborates with musicians and performing artists. Effie is especially skilled at incorporating diverse approaches into every lesson - music theory, ear training, and music history. She works with students on improvisation and song arrangements in order to find joy in learning music. She values diversity and has a warm and creative teaching style.
