Director's welcome

Welcome to Opus 1

We offer private and group music lessons at our Mountain View and Palo Alto locations. Instruments include piano, violin, viola, cello, voice, ukulele and guitar. An Opus is a creative work by a musical composer that represents a great achievement and a chapter of legacy. Opus 1 was chosen as our name because we believe that every child is a masterpiece in the making! We invite you to learn more about our programs by exploring this website or visiting our studio. Our history

Opus 1 Music Studio has grown from a home studio into three Bay Area campuses.

2006 Doris and Sici found Opus 1 as a home studio

2011 Opus 1 moves into the Heads Up School (Emerson School) building in Palo Alto, expanding to 4 rooms

2010 Mountain View Grant Road Campus opens with 6 rooms

2014 Palo Alto El Camino Campus #200 opens with 7 rooms

2017 Palo Alto Campus expands downstairs to Suite #103 with 14 rooms

2022 Mountain View Moffett Campus opens with 14 rooms

2026 Palo Alto Campus moves down the street to 3401 El Camino Real, expanding to 17 rooms
