Group Class STUDIO POLICIES

These policies cover attendance, missed classes, withdrawals, refunds, student care, and class expectations for group music programs.

Group classes

Missed Classes

There is no make-up or credit for any missed Group Classes. This includes enrolling later in the session and there is no proration on your tuition.

Cancellation

Opus 1 Music Studio reserves the right to cancel classes with insufficient enrollment. If a class is cancelled, students will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another class. If a student does not enroll in another class, they will receive a full refund.

Withdrawal

You may withdraw from a class before or within 24 hours after the first class by submitting our online withdrawal form. Opus 1 Music Studio will refund the tuition (minus the cost of the first session of the class) and material fee (unopened materials only). The registration fee is non-refundable.

Refund

There will be no refunds later than 24 hours after the first class.

Care of Students

Opus 1 Music Studio is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students.

Injuries

You assume all risk of injury or harm to the child(ren) or adult(s) associated with participation in musical activities at Opus 1 Music Studio and agree to release, indemnify, defend and forever discharge Opus 1 Music Studio and its officers and staff from all liability, claims, demands, damages, costs, and expenses in the unlikely event of injury sustained by your child(ren) or adult student during the course or as a result of their participation in Opus 1 musical activities.

Photo/Video Release

Unless requested in writing, Opus 1 Music Studio is granted permission to take photographs/videos of the students to use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements, and other promotional materials Opus 1 Music Studio creates. Permission is also hereby granted for Opus 1 Music Studio to copyright such photographs in its name.

Group Class FAQ

When are group music classes available?

New group class sessions begin in Fall, Winter, and Spring. Availability depends on the program, age group, and campus schedule.

What will my child need for class?

Students in instrument-focused classes, including MYC, MLM, MFP, MFV, and MFG, need their own instrument at home for regular practice between classes.

What happens if we miss a class?

There is no make-up, credit, or tuition proration for missed Group Music Classes. This also applies when enrolling after a session has already started.
